Kirchhoff Professional Surveyors has over 26 years experience in property, boundary, engineering, mapping and constrution surveys. They operate highly technical equipment, and are relied on for their accuracy.
Owner Chris contacted me because he was struggling with maintaining the high quality of his staff’s work. While they were highly qualified, and had the skills necessary to complete the tasks, he kept finding small mistakes and it was a continued effort to motivate the staff to keep producing the high quality outputs his clients expected.
We gathered his team and conducted a series of seminars looking in detail at their value proposition – what were his customer’s jobs, pains and gains – and how well were the team meeting them and how did they continue to self-motivate to meet expectations? Additionally we did a broader analysis of their external environment including makret forces, industry forces, key trends and changes in the economic environment (using www.strategizer.com) in order to orient the business in the larger economic environment.
Through this process they identified strenghts and weaknesses in their current offering, as well as various opportunities they could explore to overcome the threats to their business. They understood clearly that their value in the market hinged on providing detailed, accurate information their clients could both trust and use with utmost confidence. As a result, the staff developed a motto for themselves against which they could check if they were living the brand promise. The process gave the staff a deeper appreciation of what exaclty their clients needed from them, as well as possible consiequences of loosing trust and reliability.
