Restraint

November 14, 2017

The prevailing mentality now is all about stepping up, putting yourself out there, taking action, going viral and in all ways pushing for more, bigger, better, as soon as possible.

I would like to speak up for restraint.

How about waiting and seeing before you act? Perhaps instead of pushing more and striving to get out there and be seen and go viral, we would do well to pause and reflect.  Deliberate on the best course of action.  Wonder if what you are putting out there is a worthwhile representation of you and adds value in the way you intend.

Perhaps it’s more impactful over the longer term?
